Pune: Passengers traveling on the Pune-Mumbai railway route this Sunday (January 5) should be aware of an important development. A special power block will be carried out on this route, resulting in delays for several trains.
The power block will be effective from 11:00 AM to 3:35 PM, and during this time, both up and down trains will be delayed by 15 to 30 minutes. Passengers should expect the trains to run late during this period.
The power block is scheduled to facilitate essential construction work on the bridge between Kamshhet and Talegaon on the Pune-Lonavala route. The railway authorities have emphasized that this work is crucial for the maintenance and safety of railway infrastructure.
As a result, passengers traveling on the Pune-Lonavala local trains will face cancellations. This will particularly affect regular commuters who will need to explore alternative travel options.
Passengers are requested to cooperate with the railway administration for any inconvenience caused by this power block. Several other trains will also be delayed on Sunday.
