The pass will be valid across both operational routes, Pimpri-Chinchwad to Swargate and Vanaz to Ramwadi, letting passengers board and alight at any station multiple times. The initiative is designed to make commuting easier for devotees attending Ganpati processions and for shoppers visiting crowded city areas.

Although the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed, Pune Metro officials say the scheme is likely to boost ridership during the festive season, when traffic congestion and parking problems are at their peak. They also hope it will encourage more residents to opt for public transport, reducing pollution and easing the city’s road burden.

Authorities describe the metro as a safe, comfortable, and fast option for festival travel, expecting the pass to become a popular choice among citizens looking for a stress-free way to move around Pune during Ganeshotsav.
