Pune: MLA Ratnakar Gutte's Grandson Located in Manmad Five Days After Vanishing

Sumit, a resident of Beed district, left his home five days ago, telling his family that he was traveling to Pimpri-Chinchwad for a job interview at a private hospital.

Pune/Nashik: Sumit Bhagwat Gutte, a 24-year-old nursing graduate and grandson of Gangakhed MLA Ratnakar Gutte, who went missing from Rakshak Chowk in Pimple Nilakh has been found at the Manmad bus stand in Nashik district. The Manmad Police located him on Sunday (January 5) and informed Pune’s Sangvi Police Station as well as his family about his recovery.

Timeline of Events

Before Disappearance:

Sumit, a resident of Daithana Ghat in Parli taluka, Beed district, left his home five days ago, telling his family that he was traveling to Pimpri-Chinchwad for a job interview at a private hospital. After arriving in Pune, he spent two days in Alandi before heading to Rakshak Chowk in Pimple Nilakh, where he was last seen.

Reported Missing:

On January 1, Sumit had his last phone conversation with his family. After that, his phone was switched off, and he could not be contacted. MLA Gutte promptly filed a missing person report at Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Station.

Discovery in Manmad:

After days of searching, the Manmad Police found Sumit at the local bus stand. Preliminary questioning is underway to ascertain his activities during the five days he was missing. The police have notified both the Sangvi Police and Sumit’s family, who are now en route to Manmad to bring him back home.
