The bus, redesigned with a fresh interior layout and attractive exterior colours, will be stationed on the Fergusson College Road. It will remain parked in a way that does not disturb traffic flow, allowing visitors to step inside and enjoy books without any charge.

Fergusson College will provide the books and reading material, while PMPML will cover the expenses for the redesign and upkeep of the bus. The library is expected to be especially useful for college students and aspirants preparing for competitive exams. PMPML will also use the space to promote its official mobile app.

PMPML chairman and managing director Pankaj Devare said the concept was about giving new life to old buses while creating a reading space for citizens. He added that the project is expected to draw a positive response from readers and passengers in Pune.
