The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had earlier announced that the underpass would be shut from Friday night to Monday morning for maintenance.

However, heavy rain on Thursday evening left the site waterlogged, making repair work impossible. The contractor informed the PMC that the weather conditions were unsuitable for carrying out the planned tasks.

Following this, PMC officials coordinated with the city traffic police, who confirmed that the underpass will stay open as usual until further notice.

PMC’s Special Projects Department head Dinkar Gojare said the repair schedule will be revised once the weather improves. He added that the underpass will continue to operate normally for commuters in the meantime.
