Pune: A Pakistani currency note found just meters away from the National Defence Academy (NDA) has triggered concerns among residents and authorities. The note was discovered outside an elevator in the Iris-3 building of Skyi Manas Lake City Society, located in Bhukum, Mulshi Taluka.

Immediate Action Taken by Residents

Society chairman Sahadev Yadav, upon noticing the note, immediately reported the matter to Bavdhan Police Station. Residents of the society, along with local villagers, have demanded a thorough investigation into how the foreign currency note ended up in the area.

According to police sources, the note was found lying outside the elevator and appeared to have been used multiple times based on its worn-out condition. Officers are now examining the possible reasons behind its presence.

Key Questions in the Investigation

Authorities are now exploring two major possibilities:

  • Accidental Drop: The note may have unknowingly fallen from someone's pocket.

  • Suspicious Entry: The note might have been deliberately brought into India under unknown circumstances.

Given the proximity to a high-security zone, locals insist that this matter should not be taken lightly and have called for a detailed probe. However, the actual facts will only emerge after the completion of the police investigation.
