Pune ‘Petothon’ to Feature Fun Activities and Health Check-ups for Pets

Petothon, a special walk for pets and their owners, will take place on October 20th from 7 AM to 9 AM at Pandit Farm, DP Road, Karvenagar.

Pune: The Aryan World School, in collaboration with the ‘Sakal-Petopia’ initiative, is set to organize a unique event for pet lovers in Pune.

The ‘Petothon,’ a special walk for pets and their owners, will take place on October 20th from 7 AM to 9 AM at Pandit Farm, DP Road, Karvenagar.

Pet owners, especially those with dogs and cats, are invited to participate in this event, which aims to promote responsible pet ownership and enhance the bond between pets and their families.

Participants can join the event for a nominal fee of ₹299, which includes a variety of activities designed for both pets and owners.

The ‘Petothon’ offers a fun and informative experience, including a 1-kilometer walk with pets, photo opportunities, and health check-ups for the animals.

  • Pet health check-ups provided by veterinary professionals in batches.

  • An agility fun park for pets, offering physical activities and entertainment.

  • Veterinary consultations and advice on pet care.

  • Pune Municipal Corporation will also provide registration services for pets at the event.

  • Participants will receive attractive gifts as a token of appreciation.

Promoting Pet Care and Awareness:

The event aims to spread awareness about responsible pet ownership, proper pet care, and ensuring pets' well-being. The event is part of the broader ‘Petopia’ initiative, which seeks to build a strong relationship between humans and their pets through various activities and community engagement.

On this occasion, the Pune Municipal Corporation will also emphasize the importance of vaccinating pets against rabies, as the event coincides with World Rabies Day.

Prithviraj B.P., Additional Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "We are excited to be part of this initiative.

Events like the ‘Petothon’ and upcoming ‘Pet Festival’ provide a great platform to increase awareness about the relationship between humans and animals and encourage responsible pet parenting."
