Pune: The police have registered a case against the owners of Bacchus - Diner & Club, located at Raja Bahadur Mill in Pune, for operating a discotheque without a valid license and violating government regulations.

Assistant Police Inspector (API) Nandkumar Kadam lodged a formal complaint at Bundgarden Police Station against three individuals involved in running the establishment.

The accused have been identified as Kapil Phulase, a resident of Maulinagar, Dighi; Anuj Vinodkumar Agarwal, a resident of Sopanbag, Ghorpadi; and Jatin Rajpal, also a resident of Sopanbag, Ghorpadi.

As per the police investigation, the discotheque at Bacchus - Diner & Club had continued operations despite the expiration of its license. On January 19, at approximately 9 p.m., officers from Bundgarden Police Station conducted an inspection of the establishment.

During the inspection, it was revealed that the owners had not renewed their discotheque license. Even without a valid license, the venue was found playing music on its sound system, thereby breaching government rules.

Subsequently, the police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the law. The investigation is being led by Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Swapnil Lohar, who is working to gather further details regarding the incident.
