The Pune Weather Observatory has now indicated that the intensity of rainfall will decrease after September 30. While some scattered showers may still occur in certain areas, there are currently no weather alerts in place for any districts in Maharashtra.

This year, Pune recorded above-average rainfall, causing widespread damage to crops and property across the state. Pune’s Shivajinagar area alone received 849.3 mm of rain between June 1 and September 30. Data from the IMD shows that September received more rainfall than the combined totals of July and August, highlighting the extreme nature of this monsoon season.

Day-by-day rainfall variations in Pune further reflect the unusual pattern of heavy showers this year, making it one of the most intense monsoon seasons in recent years.
