Pune Police Traffic Department has announced changes to traffic routes on the Pune-Solapur Road due to water pipeline installation work between Mammadevi Chowk and Arjun Road T-Junction.
The project is set to begin near the MP Petrol Pump at 8 PM on Friday and will continue for two days. Alternative routes have been designated for smooth traffic flow during this period.
Key Traffic Diversions
Solapur to Swargate Traffic: Vehicles traveling from Solapur to Swargate will not face any changes and can continue on the usual route via Arjun Road and Mammadevi Chowk.
Swargate to Solapur Traffic: Vehicles from Swargate to Solapur will need to take a detour via Bishop Circle and turn right onto Solapur Road. Direct access at Mammadevi Chowk will be restricted, and this route will function as a one-way road.
Traffic from Solapur: Vehicles coming from Solapur can proceed straight through Mammadevi Chowk and Golibar Chowk but will not be allowed to turn right at Mammadevi Chowk. They must take the Golibar Maidan Chowk route via Camp Road.
Dr. Coyaji Road Traffic: Vehicles from Dr. Coyaji Road are advised to turn right at Harpreet Mandir Chowk, proceed through Khanya Maruti Chowk, and Pulgate Bus Station to reach Kondhwa.
The Traffic Department has urged citizens to remain alert to these changes and plan their journeys accordingly. Following the designated guidelines is essential for smooth transit during the pipeline installation work.
