Pune: Stalker Threatens to Kidnap, Blackmail Woman; She Attempts Suicide in Kondhwa

Accused pressured her to marry him and threatened to abduct her if she refused. Additionally, he threatened to edit and spread her photos online.

Pune: A 20-year-old woman from the Kondhwa area attempted suicide after being continuously harassed by a man pressuring her for marriage. The accused stalked her near her house, workplace, and on the streets, issuing threats and intimidation.

Distressed by his persistent actions, she consumed rat poison at her residence. However, her family acted swiftly and admitted her to a hospital, saving her life.

Harassment, Stalking, and Threats Led to the Extreme Step

The victim had been mentally distressed for several days due to the accused following her everywhere. He pressured her to marry him and threatened to abduct her if she refused. Additionally, he threatened to edit and spread her photos online.

Timely Medical Attention Saved the Woman

Unable to bear the harassment, she consumed rat poison at home. Her family rushed her to the hospital in time, saving her life.

Police Take Action Against the Accused

Senior police officers from Kondhwa police station arrived at the scene. The accused has been booked for molestation, issuing threats, and abetment of suicide. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
