Pushpa Chaudhari’s Lavani Marathon Creates History in Marathi Folk Music

Pushpa Chaudhari commenced her performance at 9:50 AM and completed her 51st Lavani song at 2:46 PM.

Pune: Actress and singer Pushpa Chaudhari has achieved a world record by performing 51 consecutive traditional Marathi Lavani songs. The record-breaking performance, which lasted 4 hours and 45 minutes, aimed to elevate Lavani’s status in society and bring this traditional art form to global recognition.

The event was held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, Kothrud, where representatives from World Record India and Wonder Book of Records International officially acknowledged this achievement. Dinesh Paithankar from World Record India and Neeta Donde Tipnis from Wonder Book of Records International presented a certificate and a medal to Pushpa Chaudhari, honoring her incredible performance.

A Record-Breaking Musical Marathon
Pushpa Chaudhari commenced her performance at 9:50 AM and completed her 51st Lavani song at 2:46 PM. She mesmerized the audience with some of the most iconic Lavani songs, including:

"Raya Tumchi Ghai"
"Chala Jejurila Jau"
"Tumhavari Keli Mi Marji Bahal"
"Kunya Gavach Aal Pakhru"

The event was organized in association with Valentina Women’s Empowerment, adding to its cultural and social significance. This remarkable achievement not only sets a new benchmark in the world of Lavani music but also serves as a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra.
