Sajjan Jindal Honored as 'Business Leader of the Decade' at AIMA Managing India Awards

Pune: JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal has been recognized as the ‘Business Leader of the Decade’ at the 15th AIMA Managing India Awards. The prestigious accolade acknowledges his visionary leadership in expanding JSW Group into a global powerhouse, contributing to India's economic growth and industrial modernization.

The award was conferred during a ceremony in New Delhi, attended by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, as Chief Guest, and Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry; Electronics and IT, as Guest of Honour. The citation for the award was presented by Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG India.

Under Jindal’s stewardship, JSW Group has witnessed remarkable expansion, with its annual revenue more than doubling to $24 billion. The company’s steel production capacity has grown nearly threefold, reaching 39 million tonnes per year. Additionally, JSW has strengthened its presence in renewable energy and cement manufacturing, positioning itself as a key player in India’s infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Beyond steel and infrastructure, Jindal has driven JSW Group’s diversification into high-growth sectors, including electric vehicles and military drones, through strategic global partnerships. His leadership has also helped JSW establish itself as the second-largest private player in India's ports sector, further cementing its role in the country’s logistics and trade network.

The AIMA Managing India Awards recognize leaders who have made significant contributions to India’s corporate landscape. In its 15th edition, the awards ceremony brought together eminent business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts, celebrating visionary leadership and excellence in corporate governance.
