Pune: A chilling video has surfaced showing the brutal murder of a call center employee in the parking lot of her workplace in Pune. The video, captured by a witness, reveals the sequence of events leading to the fatal attack, where the accused, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, repeatedly struck his colleague, Shubhada Kodare, with a sickle.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (January 7) evening at a call center in the Yerawada area. The video shows Shubhada chatting with a friend in the parking lot when Krishna approached her. Initially, Krishna is seen smiling and asking her, “What have you done with my money?” Before she could respond, he suddenly pulled out a sickle and began attacking her.

As the assault unfolded, Shubhada collapsed to the ground, bleeding heavily. Krishna stood nearby, holding the weapon and speaking on his phone, appearing unperturbed by the crowd gathering around him. For a few moments, he continued pacing in the vicinity, still clutching the sickle. Then, he abruptly threw the weapon to the ground.

Bystanders, initially stunned, rushed to restrain Krishna and alerted the authorities. Others tried to assist Shubhada, who was lying motionless in a pool of blood. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, has caused outrage and shock, showing the brutal nature of the crime. Police have since arrested Krishna, who worked as a clerk at the same call center. Investigations revealed that the attack stemmed from a financial dispute between the two.

According to the police, Shubhada had borrowed nearly ₹4 lakh from Krishna over time, claiming it was for her father’s medical expenses. However, she allegedly avoided repaying the money, which angered Krishna and led to the attack.

Krishna has been remanded to police custody until January 13 as investigations continue. Police officials are reviewing the video as part of the evidence in the case.
