Pune: As the search for Swargate Depot rape case accused Dattatray Gade intensifies, Pune police have deployed 13 teams to track him down. Meanwhile, the Crime Branch has interrogated one of his female friends, who has made shocking disclosures about his behavior.
According to her statement, Gade frequently harassed her with phone calls and messages, persistently requesting her to help him reconcile with a mutual friend. His obsessive behavior caused her significant distress.
By Wednesday (February 26) night, the Crime Branch had questioned 10 of Gade’s acquaintances, gathering critical leads regarding his activities and whereabouts.

Gade, originally from Shirur, has prompted police to station officers at his residence. His parents and brother have been called to Pune for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. Gade allegedly lured a 26-year-old woman into an idle MSRTC bus at Swargate depot. Once inside, he locked the doors and sexually assaulted her twice. This has been confirmed through medical examinations.
