Pune Police have arrested Sameer Ganesh Kad (32), the driver accused of fleeing the scene after fatally hitting a pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident near Nyati Ebony Society, Undri.

The victim, Sujitkumar Baswant Prasad Singh (49), a Security Manager by profession, was on his morning walk when he was struck by a speeding car on Tuesday morning (April 1) at around 7 AM. Singh suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.

Following the accident, a case was registered at Kalepadal Police Station against an unidentified driver. Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, a dedicated police team led by Senior Inspector Manasingh Patil launched an investigation.
