A few days back, people on social media as well as those in Delhi hovered ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ eatery in after a video of an elderly couple struggling made buzz. In fact, netizens came together to provide financial assistance to the elderly who made headlines as they shared their confident journey with the world.

Now, Kanta Prasad, who runs the eatery has filed a complaint against YouTuber Gaurav Wasan for allegedly misappropriating funds that were raised to help the duo.

In his complaint to police, Prasad said Gaurav Wasan shot his video and shared online, asking the people on social media platforms to donate money to the elderly owner. He further alleged that Wasan "intentionally and deliberately shared only his and his family/friends bank details and mobile numbers with the donors and collected huge amount of donation through different mode of payments i.e bank account/wallets without providing any information to the complainant." The owner of the eatery also accused the influencer of not giving details of the financial transactions to him.

“We received the complaint yesterday at the Malviya Nagar Police Station and the matter is being probed. No FIR has been registered yet in the case,” PTI quoted Atul Kumar Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), as saying.

A day after the heart touching video was shared on social media, #Babakadhaba was trending on social media handles and the food joint was flooded with more customers than it had witnessed in 30 years of being in business.
