Pune: The Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada) institute recently conducted its first-ever land management training program, catering to both government officials and private sector professionals.

The training aimed to address challenges related to land records, measurement, digitization, and dispute resolution, as official information on land-related matters is often fragmented across multiple agencies.

Comprehensive Training on Land Management
The training covered several key aspects of land management, including:

  • Land record maintenance and documentation

  • Land surveying techniques

  • Use of remote sensing technology in land administration

  • Digital preservation of land records

  • Registration procedures and stamp duty regulations

  • Legal frameworks for resolving land-related disputes

Participation from Government and Private Sector
The Centre for Excellence in Land Management was established at Yashada last year, and this training program marked the first major initiative under the center. Participants included:

  • Representatives from real estate companies

  • Officials from central government enterprises such as Mazagon Dock

  • Shipbuilders Limited, Bharat Coking Coal Limited, and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited

  • Government employees from various departments

  • Legal professionals, land valuers, and students

The program is expected to enhance knowledge and efficiency in land administration, benefiting both government bodies and private enterprises dealing with land transactions and disputes.
