The woman shown in the picture, known as Larissa, a model and influencer from Brazil, has expressed disbelief upon learning that her photo is being used in political discussions in India. In an online video, translated from Portuguese, Larissa conveyed her surprise, stating, 'Guys, I can't believe these people are spreading rumors.'
They’re using an old photo of mine; I was 18 or 20 in that photo. They’re portraying me as Indian to scam people. What madness! What craziness is this, what world do we live in?"
Her response came after the image went viral when fact-checker Mohammed Zubair posted the video on social media, highlighting that the photo displayed at Rahul Gandhi's press conference was not of an Indian voter. This disclosure sparked extensive online debate, with numerous users ridiculing the confusion and others questioning how the image became associated with Indian voter IDs.
