20-Year-Old Woman Dies by Suicide After Jumping from Building On Bhau Rangari Road

The incident took place at a five-storey residential building in central Pune; police are investigating the cause.

Pune, 28 November 2025: A 20-year-old woman died after jumping from the terrace of a five-storey residential building in central Pune on Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 6:30 pm at the Harihreshwar building located on Bhau Rangari Road, one of the city’s busiest stretches.

The deceased has been identified as Mansi Ghare, a resident of Pandurang Building in Budhwar Peth and originally from Ahilyanagar district. Police said that although she was married, the reason behind her extreme step is still unclear.

The area where the incident took place is usually crowded, and the building itself houses several students preparing for competitive exams. People nearby rushed to the spot after hearing a loud noise and found the woman lying in a pool of blood. They immediately alerted the police.

Officers from the Vishrambaug Police Station arrived at the location, conducted a spot inspection, and initiated the investigation. An accidental death case has been registered, and further inquiries are underway.
