206 cadets complete police wireless training

PUNE: The passing out parade of 206 cadets of police wireless department was organised at the Maharashtra Police Wireless Headquarters on Pashan Road on Thursday. 

The cadets of assistant sub-inspector, head constable and constable technical cadre passed out after one year basic technical and physical training. Dr K Venkatesham, Commissioner of Police, Pune city was the chief guest at the function.

Amongst the dignitaries present were Addl DGP Retesh Kumaarr, who is the Director Police Wireless, DIGP Wireless Rajendra Dahale, DySP (training) Anil Bhope and other senior officials of the wireless department.

The director stressed the need for training in the present world of changing technology. 

Venkatesham explained the importance of wireless communication in the police department. “Cyber and technology-related crime is a big challenge for the police department and cyber proficiency of wireless personnel will help in controlling it,” Venkatesham said. 

He congratulated Kumaarr for establishing Sir JC Bose E-Learning Centre and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation Hub, Aryabhatt Open Museum and other welfare activities at wireless headquarters. 

Meritorious cadets were felicitated by the chief guest.
