Agitation by PF staff for various demands

Pune: Employees Provident Fund Staff Union (EPFSU), Maharashtra, the recognised union of B, C and D group of the employees launched a State-wide agitation programme on Wednesday to resolve the long-pending legitimate issues like promotions, recruitment of staff, on time financial upgrading and provision of infrastructure. This agitation was launched under the guidance of President and Member of Parliament Anil Desai and under the leadership of Rakesh Acharya, who is Secretary General, Maharashtra.

The press release issued by the staff union said that the agitation programme of EPFSU, Ro, Pune was done in front of the office for various demands during the lunch hour without hampering the service to its members. The press release said that the staff have always been denied of their legitimate rights and demands. The well publicised cadre restructuring was never implemented in its true spirit and meaning, says the press release. 

The agitating staff demanded that their demands should be considered and their promotions and increments should be given to them in a fair manner. The agitation was carried out during lunch hour so that members would not get adversely affected by it.
