Many high-end societies have come up in the Bavdhan area, but the administration is failing to provide infrastructure facilities. The road is in a terrible condition and is not being repaired. To draw the attention of the administration, citizens planted saplings in the pits and complained about the administration's indifference.

The possibility of accidents due to potholes is increasing. The protesters said that the potholes are not visible as rainwater accumulates in the potholes and chances of accidents cannot be ruled out.

"If the roads aren’t going to be repaired, at least let the trees grow!" — with such slogans and banners, residents drew the administration’s attention to the issue. Local citizens from Bavdhan, including senior citizens, women, and youth, participated in this protest.

Road repair work is ongoing at a war footing. The rain is causing obstacles in the repair work. Soon, the potholes in the Bavdhan area will be filled and the roads will be repaired.

- Vijay Nayakal, Assistant Commissioner, Kothrud Regional Office

If the roads in Bavdhan are not repaired by next week, we will intensify this protest.

- Krunal Ghare, Local Resident, Bavdhan.
