Pune: Puneites will soon be able to access the traffic status of their area in real time as the Pune Smart City Development Corporation (PSCDCL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) with a private firm, TomTom which operates in the area of Navigation Technology.

The PMC and TomTom announced this agreement at a joint press conference held in the city on Thursday. The authorities also plan to expand the services to provide automated alerts to citizens through the VMDs.

Rajendra Jagtap, CEO of PSCDCL, said, “PSCDCL, through this MoU, is pleased to have mutual cooperation with TomTom in an effort to synergize the strengths and assets of both the organizations.”
