After committing the assault, the accused took a selfie on the woman’s phone and left a message saying, "I will come again." The incident has triggered panic among residents and raised serious concerns about women's safety in the city.

According to initial information, the accused posed as a courier delivery agent to gain access to the society. He approached the victim’s flat on the 11th floor and insisted she sign for a delivery. When the woman responded that she hadn’t ordered anything, the man continued to pressure her to sign. When she opened the safety door, he sprayed her in the face and allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Kondhwa police rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the incident. Based on CCTV footage from the area, police have taken two suspects into custody and are conducting further investigations. The victim has undergone a medical examination, and her statement has been recorded. A dog squad was also brought to the scene to assist in the probe.

The incident has once again brought the spotlight on the lax security arrangements in high-end residential complexes. Residents expressed concern over how easily an unknown person gained entry into a gated society. The role of security personnel, proper visitor logging, and identity verification procedures are now being questioned.
