Egyptian delegation visits Agrowon Smart Village

PUNE: A delegation from Egypt visited the Agrowon project initiated by Sakal Media Group at Pune district's Takali Haji and Pargaon Aale villages. The delegation included Tawfik Ahmed, Commercial Director, Dalteks Firm and Hatem Elie Ezavi, Executive Director along with Abhijeet Pawar, Managing Director, Sakal.

During the visit, the delegation surveyed the farm produce along with its production cost and acreage production. They also discussed the market rates with the farmers. They pointed out that the farmers should provide more attention to production cost and market price in the technologically advanced world.

They also visited banana, watermelon, pomegranate and grape yards and discussed various issues with the farmers. Similarly, they visited the farms with crops of bitter gourd and new varieties of chilli. They discussed how dairy farming can be done as a supportive business to farming.

Sakal Agrowon Smart Village Project includes Pargaon Aale, Bori Budruk, Vadgaon Kandali, Kalwadi of Junnar taluka and Takali Haji in Shirur taluka.

The delegation also met Sakal Tanishka group and understood their working at Takali Haji.
