Following the viral video, the FDA launched an official inquiry and registered a complaint against the establishment. During the inspection that followed, authorities reported unsanitary conditions at the café. Citing these issues, along with the serious health risk posed by the incident, the FDA decided to temporarily suspend Goodluck Café’s operational license.

Officials confirmed that the café’s license will remain suspended until further notice and until all hygiene-related shortcomings are adequately addressed. The decision has been taken to ensure public safety and to reinforce strict food safety compliance among well-known food establishments in the city.

The FDA stated that the café failed to meet several necessary hygiene standards during the inspection. This, combined with the presence of a glass shard in a food item, posed a significant risk to customer health. The café will not be permitted to reopen until the required corrective actions are verified and approved by the administration.

Goodluck Café, located on the bustling Fergusson College Road, holds sentimental value for generations of Punekars. However, this recent episode has dealt a severe blow to its reputation. The investigation still ongoing and the license under suspension.
