Pune, 30 October 2025: Pune has been witnessing rainfall since early Thursday morning, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a yellow alert for the city. The weather office has urged residents to stay cautious while stepping out, as heavy showers have led to slow-moving traffic and waterlogging in several key areas.

The IMD stated that the rain activity is linked to a depression over the east-central Arabian Sea, which is moving northeast toward Maharashtra’s western coast. This weather system is expected to bring heavy showers and thunderstorms to Pune and nearby regions.

According to the latest forecast, today there will be thunderstorms accompanied by rain and lightning, with unstable weather and chances of short, intense downpours throughout the day.

By tomorrow, the skies are expected to clear in the morning, turning partly cloudy later in the day. No significant weather warnings have been issued for that period, and conditions are likely to remain pleasant overall.
