Officials said that additional patrolling and surveillance measures have been implemented to ensure law and order. Citizens have also been urged to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious individuals or objects to the police control room or nearby police stations.

Police Joint Commissioner Ranjankumar Sharma appealed to the public to cooperate with authorities. “Security arrangements have been strengthened across the city. Citizens should immediately inform the police control room at 112 or the nearest police station if they notice any suspicious activity,” he said.

Meanwhile, police officials confirmed that around 120 to 125 Iranian nationals are currently residing in Pune. These individuals have come to the city on tourism, business, medical, and educational visas. Some Iranian women have also married Indian citizens, with approximately 25 to 30 such women currently living in the city.

Authorities also stated that nearly 60 Iranian students are studying in various educational institutions in Pune. Officials from the Special Branch said necessary steps will be taken to assist students whose visas are nearing expiry, based on guidelines issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
