Man who forcibly kissed girl held

PUNE: Within 24 hours after an unidentified man kissed a 21-year-old engineering student after she thanked him for allowing her to make a call from his phone, sleuths from Lashkar police station nabbed him. The incident had taken place near Aurora Tower in Camp on Tuesday noon. 

The arrested accused has been identified as Ram Badrilal Dabediya (43), a resident of Wanowrie. 

Dabediya has been charged for an offence under Section 354 (outraging modesty of woman) under the Indian Penal Code. 

According to the police, the complainant is an engineering student. The woman had gone to Camp for some work and had lost directions. She wanted to call her friend but her phone had got switched off. 

She borrowed the phone of the accused and made a call to her friend. While returning the phone to the man, she thanked him following which he forcibly kissed her. The act was captured on CCTV footage of the hotel. 

While investigating the case, policeman Pradip Shitole received information that the accused was in Munjaba Wasti, off-Dhanori Road. Accordingly, a trap was laid and Dabediya was arrested.
