PUNE: From the money generated by playing dhol tasha in Ganesh festival, Nadbramha Dhol Tasha Pathak has donated books, sandals, inverter and dresses to The Poona School and Home For The Blind Girls, Kothrud.

The girls celebrated Krishna Janmashtami in the premises of the school where two girls were dressed up in Goddess Radha and Lord Krishna’s (govinda) attire. They formed a human pyramid and the girl who was dressed in Govinda’s attire broke the ‘handi’. 

Swapnil Joshi, president of the pathak said, “We have been doing this activity of donating necessary items for the needy like schools for blind or mentally retarded. 

Last year, we had donated necessary items to a school for special children and this year, we have donated books, footwear, inverter and clothes to The Poona School and Home For The Blind Girls, Kothrud. The money for the donation was generated by playing dhol tasha in Ganesh festival,”

There were 150 girls who participated in the festival and around 20 girls played dhol tasha along with members of Nadbramha Dhol Tasha Pathak.
