Pune Accident: Youth Dies After High-Speed Crash on Karve Road Flyover Near Nal Stop Metro Station

25-year-old Rajsingh Tamatta lost his life after his motorcycle rammed into a flyover ledge around midnight; Alankar Police are investigating the circumstances.

Pune, 10 July 2025: In a tragic incident that occurred shortly after midnight on July 2, a 25-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle crashed into the side ledge of the Karve Road flyover near the Nal Stop Metro Station. The deceased has been identified as Rajsingh Tamatta, a resident of the Community Café locality in Kothrud.

According to the Police, the fatal accident happened at around 12:30 am. Rajsingh was reportedly riding his motorcycle at high speed along the Karve Road flyover. As he approached the Nal Stop Metro Station, he lost control of the bike and slammed into the edge of the flyover with great force.

The impact of the collision caused Rajsingh to suffer critical head injuries. Police teams responded promptly upon receiving an alert and rushed to the scene. The injured youth was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Despite the medical team's efforts, Rajsingh succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment. The sudden and untimely death has shocked his family and local residents.

A formal case has been registered based on a complaint filed by Vinod Pillay (55), a resident of Ghorpadi village. Alankar Police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine whether there were other contributing factors such as road conditions or mechanical failure.
