Pune, 1st January 2026: Despite IndiGo crisis toward the end of the year, Pune Airport delivered a strong performance in 2025, reporting higher flight operations, increased passenger movement, and improved revenue.
According to data released by the Pune Airport administration on Wednesday, a total of 70,992 flights operated during 2025, carrying over 10.86 million passengers. This marks a notable rise compared to 2024, when 67,484 flights were operated.
The airport handled 3,508 more flights and 6.28 lakh additional passengers, registering an overall growth of around 6.1% in passenger traffic.
Domestic connectivity continued to dominate operations, but international travel showed sharper growth. In 2025, Pune Airport handled 68,391 domestic flights and 2,601 international flights, compared to 65,992 domestic and 1,492 international flights the previous year. International passenger numbers rose substantially, reflecting growing overseas demand from the city.
Travel trends remained consistent with previous years. November 2025 emerged as the busiest month, with nearly 9.89 lakh passengers passing through the airport. February recorded the lowest passenger movement, while May saw the highest number of international travellers, highlighting seasonal travel patterns.
Airport Director Santosh Dhoke said the growth was driven by continuous infrastructure upgrades and operational improvements. He noted that sustained investment in facilities helped Pune Airport manage higher traffic efficiently, leading to increased passenger satisfaction and better overall performance during the year.
