₹6.25 Lakh Stolen from Locker at Airport Road Petrol Pump in Pune

Thief allegedly used a duplicate key to break into the office locker; case registered at Vishrantwadi police station

Pune, 29 January 2026: Cash worth ₹6.25 lakh was stolen from a locker at a petrol pump on Airport Road in Pune after an unidentified thief allegedly opened it using a duplicate key. The incident took place around midnight on Republic Day, January 26.

The theft occurred at the Kekane petrol pump located in the Vishrantwadi area. A 43-year-old woman from Tingrenagar has filed a complaint at the Vishrantwadi police station. The incident came to light on the morning of January 27, when petrol pump staff noticed the locker had been tampered with and informed the police.

Following the complaint, police officials visited the spot and conducted a preliminary examination. CCTV footage from the petrol pump and surrounding areas is being examined to identify the accused. Further investigation is underway, police said.
