Pune Crime: Parvati police register case against 35-year-old man after alleged sexual assault and threats

Pune, 16 April 2026: A shocking case of sexual assault involving a mentally challenged young woman has come to light in the Parvati area of Pune. The police have registered a case against a 35-year-old man in connection with the incident.

The complaint was filed by the victim’s sister-in-law at Parvati police station. Based on the complaint, the accused, identified as Dheeraj Londhe, a resident of the Sinhagad Road area, has been booked.

According to police information, the accused was aware of the victim’s mental condition. On Tuesday evening, he allegedly threatened her and took her to his house, where he sexually assaulted her, taking advantage of her vulnerability.

When the victim tried to resist, the accused reportedly threatened to kill her. Following the complaint, police officials visited the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
