Pune Crime: Minor Murders Friend With Stone After Heated Argument in Ghorpadi

Pune Crime: fight reportedly broke out during a late-night drinking session after victim allegedly abused accused’s mother

Pune, 8th May 2026: A shocking murder incident was reported from Ghorpadi, where a minor boy allegedly killed his friend by attacking him with a stone following a heated argument late at night.

The incident took place around 12:39 am at an open ground in Bhagyashree Nagar on BT Kawade Road. According to police, both the victim and the accused were sitting together and consuming alcohol when an argument broke out between them.

During the fight, the victim allegedly abused the accused’s mother, which reportedly triggered extreme anger. Police said the minor then picked up a stone and repeatedly struck the victim on the head, leading to his death.

The deceased has been identified as Lokesh Thombare, a resident of Ghorpadi-Mundhwa.

After receiving information about the incident, officials from Mundhwa Police reached the spot and launched an investigation. The minor accused has since been taken into custody.

Police officials said the accused admitted during questioning that he committed the murder in a fit of rage after his mother was verbally abused. Further investigation is underway.
