Pune: A fire broke out in the operation theatre (OT) of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital of Pune Cantonment Board due to a short circuit. The incident took place at 11.30 am on Saturday. According to reports, the fire brigade was able to bring the fire under control immediately.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital is located near Golibar Maidan Chowk and opposite the Pune Cantonment Board office. The hospital's operating theatre (OT) suddenly caught fire at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The hospital administration immediately informed the fire brigade after the incident. Within minutes, firefighters began extinguishing the blaze. 

About half an hour later, the fire brigade managed to control the fire, said Dr Vidyadhar Gaikwad, superintendent of the hospital.
