Pune, 13 October 2025: Pune witnessed another alarming incident involving attacks on police personnel when traffic officer Pawan Dimble was assaulted by a group of 4–5 men in the Kondhwa area late Sunday night. Dimble is currently posted in the traffic department of Bharati Vidyapeeth.
According to initial reports, Dimble had finished his duty and stopped briefly in Kondhwa for a personal reason when he noticed a group drinking in public. He intervened to ask them to move, which led to a verbal confrontation. Soon, the men were joined by friends, and the officer was physically attacked.
Despite wearing his uniform jacket, which concealed his identity, Dimble suffered injuries with bleeding from his ear and nose. He was immediately admitted to Sasoon Hospital, where doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable.
This incident follows a recent attack on police personnel by motorcyclists armed with a machete on Law College Road, further raising concerns about law and order issues in Pune. Authorities are investigating both incidents to identify the attackers and prevent similar events.
