Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has assured residents that the supply of domestic LPG cylinders across the district is stable and under control. Dedicated teams have been deployed in every taluka to monitor the situation and ensure there is no disruption at distribution centers.
To prevent long queues and panic among citizens, the administration has implemented a streamlined home delivery system. Consumers are advised to book LPG cylinders in advance, after which deliveries will be made directly to their homes.
The administration has also introduced separate timelines for urban and rural areas. In city areas, cylinders will be delivered approximately 25 days after booking, while in rural regions, the waiting period has been extended to 45 days.
In a key development, an OTP-based LPG booking system has been made mandatory to improve efficiency and ensure timely delivery. Under normal conditions, this system aims to deliver cylinders within 96 hours of booking.
Authorities have further clarified that households with MNGL connections will not be eligible for LPG cylinders during this period, as priority is being given to those fully dependent on LPG.
“Domestic LPG supply in Pune is stable, and citizens should not panic. Teams are monitoring the situation across talukas. The current conditions may continue for the next 10 to 12 days, but adequate arrangements are in place,” said District Collector Jitendra Dudi.
