Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar Assures Justice in Nasrapur Minor Rape and Murder Case

Amitesh Kumar meets victim’s family, promises full support and swift legal action amid public outrage; Authorities plan to appoint a special public prosecutor to fast-track the case

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar visited the family of the minor victim in the Nasrapur case on Monday evening. He offered condolences and assured them that the police will support them until justice is delivered and the accused is punished.

He told the parents that they can contact him anytime if they need help. He also said the police will handle the case seriously and make sure the family gets full support during the legal process.

The incident has led to anger among citizens. On Saturday, people protested near Navale Bridge and blocked traffic for over four hours. They demanded strict and immediate punishment for the accused. The commissioner had earlier assured the family that their demands would be taken seriously by the government.

Police officials have said that a special public prosecutor will be appointed soon to speed up the case. Authorities have promised a quick investigation and action as the city continues to react strongly to the incident.
