Pune, 11th September 2026: Pune railway station will witness a nine-hour infrastructure block on Sunday, September 13, to carry out upgrade work at the Pune yard. The block will remain in effect from 8 am to 5 pm and is expected to affect several passenger services.
The work will be carried out in the Pune yard on the Pune-Daund section. Railway authorities will replace DDS Point Nos. 228(I) and 226 and upgrade the existing 52-kg rail track to a 60-kg track.
The work will require a special traffic and power block. During the block, rail traffic will remain suspended on Platform No. 1, the Up Main Line and the Down Main Line towards the CSMT end.
The following services have been cancelled due to the block:

Talegaon-Pune local
Pune-Lonavala local
Lonavala-Shivajinagar local
CSMT-Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express
Pune-Mumbai Deccan Express
The Central Railway has asked passengers to check the latest train timetable before starting their journey on Sunday, as the infrastructure work will affect normal train operations at Pune station.
