Bus Run Over Senior Passenger at Pune's Swargate ST Depot

Man sustains severe leg injury; driver absconds as police begin investigation.

Pune, 7th November 2025: A serious incident occurred at the Swargate ST depot when a senior passenger was run over by a state transport bus on Friday. The incident left the man with a severely injured left leg, and he was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The injured passenger, estimated to be between 60 and 65 years old, had come from Nira and was planning to travel to Kalamboli. He reportedly did not notice the bus reversing when he came in its path. The bus, registered as MH-14 BT 3538, was scheduled to travel toward Phaltan–Latur.

Following the accident, the bus driver fled from the spot. Police officials are further investigating into the case.
