The traffic restriction will be implemented for six hours during the night, starting at 11 PM on Saturday, March 14, and continuing until 5 AM on Sunday, March 15. Officials said the night-time schedule has been chosen to reduce inconvenience to daily commuters.

According to Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Police, the main highway lanes in both directions will remain closed during the construction work. Vehicles traveling from Mumbai towards Satara and from Satara towards Mumbai will be diverted to the adjacent service roads during this period.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pimpri-Chinchwad, Vivek Patil, stated that the temporary closure is necessary to safely carry out the foot over bridge construction near the metro station.

Authorities have directed Tata Project Limited, the executing agency, to install clear information boards at key points to guide motorists. Adequate traffic wardens will also be deployed to manage vehicle movement, and the construction area will be properly barricaded to ensure safety.

The Bavdhan Traffic Division will supervise the implementation of the diversion arrangements. Commuters traveling on the highway during the night hours are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.
