Pune, 9th June 2025: Local residents and drivers are suffering due to daily traffic jams near MediPoint Hospital here. Nagaras Road, DP Road and Aundh-Baner Link Road converge here. Citizens are facing this problem on a daily basis due to the unruly behavior of some drivers.

The Chatushrungi Traffic Department has taken some measures to resolve the traffic congestion here, but due to lack of consistency, traffic congestion is worsening again.

From Medi Point Chowk on Nagaras Road to Late Yashwantrao Bhale Chowk and Medi Point Chowk to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk, there are queues of vehicles every morning and evening. This is causing inconvenience to the working class and local residents. The impact of this is felt every day on the Aundh-Baner Link Road and DP Road.

The businessmen said that the traffic jam is also affecting the local businesses. They also said that it is causing financial losses. Therefore, the transport department should try to solve the traffic jam to some extent by using barricades.

The footpath in front of Kumar Prerna Society will be reduced so that traffic coming from Baner can pass through that place without any hindrance. This will help in reducing traffic congestion. The Municipal Corporation's Road Department is following up on this.
Minal Patil, Police Inspector, Chatushrungi Traffic Department
The traffic jam at this intersection has made it difficult for pedestrians to walk on the road. Customers coming to the shops between Medi Point and Bhale Chowk have to bear the brunt of this traffic jam. This is also affecting businesses.
Madan Nagaras, local resident
