According to an official press note, the four-day drive was conducted from December 25 to December 28, 2025. Traffic police teams set up checkpoints and nakabandis at several key locations to check drivers for alcohol consumption.

During the checks, 242 drivers were found operating vehicles after consuming alcohol. All offenders were booked under the Motor Vehicles Act, fined, and subjected to further legal action as per the law.

Senior traffic officials said the drive was launched to prevent road accidents during the year-end festive period, when cases of drunk driving usually increase. They stressed that driving under the influence is dangerous and puts the lives of drivers, pedestrians, and other road users at risk.

The traffic police have appealed to citizens to strictly follow traffic rules and avoid driving after drinking alcohol. They also warned that such enforcement drives will continue in the coming days to ensure road safety and discipline across Pune city.
