Pune, 10th August 2026: Traffic movement on several major roads in Central Pune will be restricted or diverted from 2 pm on Tuesday due to a Tiranga rally being organised under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Traffic Police said.
The rally, organised by the Tiranga Gaurav Samiti Pune, will begin at Lalit Mahal Hotel Chowk and conclude at Garware Chowk on the Fergusson College road. The restrictions will remain in place until the rally passes through the affected roads.
The procession will pass through Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Paduka Chowk, Tukaram Maharaj Paduka Chowk and Goodluck Chowk before reaching Garware Chowk.
Pune Traffic Police have issued an official traffic order and deployed personnel along the route to manage vehicle movement and prevent congestion.
Swargate to Pune University: Vehicles will be diverted via Alka Chowk → Khandoji Baba Chowk → Vir Savarkar Chowk → Anna Bhau Sathe Chowk → N C Phadke Chowk → Mangirbaba Chowk → Senadatta Chowk → Bal Shivaji-Mhatre Bridge → Nal Stop → Law College Road.
Swargate to Khadki/Old Pune-Mumbai Highway: Vehicles will be diverted via Anna Bhau Sathe Chowk → Puram Chowk → Bajirao Road → Gadgil Putla → Kumbhar Ves → RTO Chowk.
Approaching Khandoji Baba Chowk: Traffic will be diverted through Nal Stop → Paud Phata → Aathawale Chowk → Law College Road.
Alka Talkies Chowk: Vehicles can use Kelkar Road → Nadi Patra → Shaniwar Wada → Gadgil Putla.
Senadatta Chowk: Traffic will be diverted via Bal Shivaji-Mhatre Bridge.
Shamarav Ganpati Chowk: Vehicles will be routed through Patrakar Bhavan → S M Joshi Bridge → Garware College.
Garware Chowk to Chafekar Chowk: Traffic will be diverted via Shelar Mama Chowk → Prabhat Road → Law College Road → S B Road → Vidyapeeth Chowk.
Pune Traffic Police have asked citizens to use the prescribed alternative routes and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed along the rally route. Commuters travelling through Central Pune during the afternoon have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays.
