Pune, 25th August 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) water supply department has announced a full day water supply shutdown in several parts of the city on Thursday. The decision has been taken to carry out electrical work and urgent maintenance and repair activities at various water supply centres.
The shutdown will begin at 12 midnight on Wednesday and continue until 12 midnight on Thursday. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to plan their water requirements accordingly.
Parvati and Dias Plot:
The affected areas include Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibwewadi, Mukundnagar (parts), Maharshinagar, Chintamaninagar, Gangadham, Upper and Lower Indiranagar, Lake Town, Salisbury Park, Parvati Gaothan, Janata Vasahat and nearby areas.
Bhama Askhed Supply Area:
Lohgaon, Kalas, Dhanori, Tingrenagar, Viman Nagar, Wadgaonsheri, Kalyani Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Phulenagar, Yerawada, Kharadi, Alandi Municipal Council area and adjoining localities will be affected.
Kothrud, Bavdhan and Karvenagar:
The shutdown will affect Bavdhan, Bhusari Colony, Paud Road, Paud Phata, Mayur Colony, Karve Road, Sahawas, Gosavi Vasti, Karishma Society area, Nal Stop to Dashabhuja Ganpati, Mangeshkar Hospital area, Mahatma Society, Warje-Malwadi, Kakade City, Karvenagar Gaothan, Tapodham and Canal Road.
Baner, Balewadi and Pashan:
Baner, Balewadi, Baner Gaothan, Sus Road, Bhugaon, Pashan, Someshwarwadi, Sutarwadi, Ganraj Chowk and the Pancard Club area will also face the shutdown.
Aundh and Shivajinagar:
Gokhalenagar, Aundh, Bopodi, the University area, Senapati Bapat Road, Bhandarkar Road, Prabhat Road, Law College Road, Khadki and Sakalnagar are among the affected areas.
Katraj and Dhankawadi:
The affected localities include Santosh Nagar, Dattanagar, Ambegaon Budruk and Khurd, Wonder City, Balajinagar, Sukhsagar Nagar Parts 1 and 2, Katraj Gaothan and Yewalewadi.
Khadki Cantonment and Mula Road:
The entire Khadki Cantonment area, MES and Hariganga Society will also experience the water supply interruption.
Shivane and Uttamnagar:
Warje Highway area, Ramnagar, Uttamnagar, Shivane and Kondhwa-Dhawade will be affected.
The PMC has stated that the central Peth areas and parts along Narveer Tanaji Malusare Road (Sinhagad Road) will receive water supply as per the regular schedule.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance and make necessary arrangements for the 24-hour interruption.
