Pune, 24 July 2025: Heavy rainfall continues to lash Mumbai, Konkan, Satara, and several parts of Maharashtra. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Pune on July 24, warning of extremely heavy showers that could lead to flooding in low-lying areas, traffic issues, and poor visibility.

Pune and the parts of the ghat region of Madhya Maharashtra, which is expected to receive very heavy to extremely heavy rain on July 24 and 25. IMD’s weekly forecast predicts cloudy skies and consistent rainfall throughout the week, with another wet spell expected from July 28.

On July 24, Pune is likely to experience temperatures between 28°C and 21°C, with humidity ranging from 85% to 71%. In the last 24 hours, the city received 0.35 mm of rainfall, and humidity peaked at 87% in the morning.

IMD has also predicted heavy showers for Marathwada on July 26. The weather department has urged citizens to stay alert and take precautions, especially in flood-prone and hilly areas.
