The chill followed Friday’s 9.6°C recorded at the IMD’s Haveli station, the lowest of the season so far. On Saturday, Malin recorded 9.7°C, while at least six other weather stations across the district hovered around 10°C.

In Pune city, temperatures have been steadily falling since November 6, dropping from 18.6°C to 11.2°C within a week. The Shivajinagar observatory logged 11.2°C on Saturday, three degrees below normal, while Pashan recorded an even colder 10°C.

The drop in temperatures brought a calm winter charm to the city, with a light morning fog settling over open fields and tree-lined streets. The mist, paired with the crisp air, offered early risers a serene and scenic start to the day.

Weather officials expect the cold spell to continue for the next four days, with more single-digit minimums likely. After this phase, temperatures may climb by 3–4°C, offering slight relief from the biting chill.
