Pune, 12 December 2025: City continues to shiver as minimum temperatures drop across the city and surrounding areas. Over the past few days, the mercury has been falling consistently, leaving residents feeling the chill much earlier than usual.

Three days ago, Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 12°C, but the cold intensified quickly. On Thursday (Dec 11), the city logged 7.9°C. The mercury dipped even further today, touching 7°C, making it the coldest morning so far this winter.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has confirmed that this marks the second cold wave of the season. The department has issued a yellow alert for Pune as temperatures continue to hover well below normal. According to IMD, the minimum temperature is expected to remain in single digits until December 16.

However, a slight rise in temperature is forecast from December 17, as per the IMD-GFS model. Until then, the cold conditions are likely to persist, keeping Pune firmly under the grip of winter.
